I'm very happy that this app exists. It's really helpful to find launch locations that are rated by other paddlers. The interface works pretty well. I'm not able to add comments though because it keeps prompting me to log in, and doesn't recognize that I'm logged after I do. The user reviews are the most useful aspect so I hope others don't have the same trouble.

This is a great idea with horrible execution. in the Md/De/Pa area there are many red dots that are on private property or have no access to the water or the road. In addition to inaccuracy, the interface is counterintuitive to the point of uselessness. The map is for roads and lacks any sort of detail for the water. There is no trip feature that allows planning or tracking of progress. We used this app and ended up replanning the entire trip on the fly.

Hey Bill, I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy. The locations on the map are added by users so when you find that a location is wrong, you can post an issue about it and we will remove it.
What are you looking to have for "detail for the water"? Feel free to email app@paddling.com with more details.

Great app for finding new access points. I am especially impressed with the safety features that make your trip details available to friends and family. One suggestion I would add to the email is a link to optionally add the trip's planned end date/time as a calendar item to pop-up a reminder for friends and family to not forget to check on their paddlers.
